Schengen visas allow people to stay in the Schengen area for up to 90 days every six-month period.
Schengen Visa (Short-stay visa)
For Travelling to the following Schengen States Austria, Belgium, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Italy, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden and Switzerland for visit, tourist or business purposes up to 90 days you need a short-stay Schengen Visa.
If your main destination is Austria, Germany, Finland, Italy, Luxemburg or the Netherlands you have to apply for a Schengen Visa at the German Embassy.
Before you apply a visa you have to read the visa Regulation carefully.
To apply for a Schenge visa you need

On behalf of the Embassy of Germany, VFS Global has been operating a Visa Application Center in Phnom Penh since March 1st, 2019. Please visit the Website of VFS to arrange appointments and get information on the application process including access to the electronic visa application form “Videx”. Please arrange your appointment as soon as possible in advance. Applications can be handed in 3 months before the departure.

Here the applicants may fill in the visa application form online “Videx” and print it out. The form submitted must be original version (at least one set) of the German Embassy Phnom Penh with all required documents.

Important: Incomplete visa applications cannot be accepted. Please make sure you have all the necessary documents ready in order to apply for your visa.
Once the visa process is completed, you will be contacted by telephone and asked to collect your passport during the visiting hour from Monday to Friday between 8:00 and 8:30 a.m.

Complaints about the Schengen visa procedure
Schengen visa applicants can submit complaints about the behavior of consulate staff or the staff of the visa application center VFS Global by using the contact form. To do this, please select the addressee “Complaint regarding the Schengen visa procedure” in the contact form. Please note that complaints can only be submitted in German or English. We are unable to follow up on complaints in languages other than German or English. Please enter one of the following three options in the “Subject” field in the contact form:
a. Complaint about behavior of consulate staff
b. Complaint about the behavior of VFS Global staff
c. Complaint about the visa application process
We will follow up on your complaint once it has been received.
Important information: No legal remedies against decisions to refuse, annul or revoke a visa – in particular no remonstrations – may be submitted via the complaints contact form.
